We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping Grindleford Cricket Club continue to thrive. We are a small, proud community cricket club nestled in the beautiful village of Grindleford in the Derbyshire Dales.

Our club boasts a long history dating back to 1880, but more recently, we celebrated our reformation in 1977 and will be marking the 50th centenary of that reformation in 2027. We are incredibly proud of our past, but what's truly exciting is our present.

While many small, local clubs are struggling, Grindleford CC is expanding! We are actively bucking the national trend of decline in grassroots cricket. In the past two years, our club has significantly grown, going from fielding just two senior men's teams on a Saturday and Sunday to:

• Three men's senior teams (now including a friendly midweek T20 team).

• A newly formed Women's Team.

• Dedicated U12’s and U11’s junior teams.

• Strong support for the England Cricket Board’s (ECB) All Stars and Dynamos cricket initiatives, getting even more young children involved in the sport.

In order for the club to sustain this fantastic momentum—and continue providing such a valuable, community-focused opportunity for adults and children alike—we urgently need to raise funds for essential infrastructure. Our ambitions are high, and our current needs include:

1. Equipment Replacement: Our pitch maintenance equipment was generously donated over 30 years ago and is now reaching the end of its life, requiring replacement soon.

2. Pitch Protection: Purchasing a series of roll-on covers to protect the pitch during inclement weather, allowing us to get more matches played when conditions are borderline.

3. Scoreboard Upgrade: Due to recent flooding, our existing scoreboard has been damaged. We are looking to upgrade to a much-needed electronic scoreboard.

There are a number of straightforward ways that individuals or groups can help us meet these fundraising goals:

• Match Ball Sponsor (£30): In return for this £30 sponsorship, we will highlight your contribution across our social media channels, including your company logo or name attached to the relevant posts (if desired).

• Club Sponsor (£250 per year): For a larger commitment, we will create a high-quality, large canvas banner with your details and hang it prominently on our boundary fence for the entire season (April – September).

• Shirt Sponsor (£300 - £600 per year): We have opportunities for your company’s logo to appear on the playing shirts of our men’s, women’s or junior team’s. The location of the logo will determine the contribution amount (Sleeve = £300 per year, Chest = £600 per year)
